Tell us about yourself!
I was born in the Philippines but raised in Redondo Beach. Growing up, I always loved the idea of being a model but I hesitated because I did not fit the industry standards. After I received my B.S. in Biochemistry from UCSD, I started working full time in a lab. During this time, I felt like something was missing, and I discovered I wanted to do something that involved being creative. I made a Model Mayhem account one day and met with photographers that week. Shortly after, I fell in love with the process of modeling, and I’m loving every moment of it!

What inspired you to pursue your current creative path?
When I was 16, I participated in pageants during the summer of 2008, while my family and I were on vacation in the Philippines. It was one of the most amazing times of my life. I learned so much throughout the process, met so many amazing people, and it helped me gain my confidence. I loved being on stage and being part of a production!

How did you find out about TGS?
I found out about TGS through MORE Talent Agency on Instagram. I was following MORE Talent and TGS for about a year until joining and my first meet up!

Why did you decide to join TGS?
After following TGS and MORE Talent for awhile I knew I wanted to be a part of the team because they accept models and creatives outside of the industry standards. It is so refreshing that TGS allows models of different ages, heights, and sizes to freely express themselves and create. Everyone at TGS is so inspiring and unique and it's nice to be a part community where we can collaborate on new ideas and help each other grow.

Fave aesthetic, look or theme when shooting?
This is a hard question because I love shooting so many different things! I always enjoy the chill vibe of streetwear and although I love getting glammed up from head to toe, my favorite looks always go back to those that are effortless, simple, and organic. Because of this, I prefer shooting in all-natural lighting. Window lighting is always great and any play with shadows that give the photo an added dimension and feel are the best.

Do you have creative friends you like to meetup and brainstorm with?
One of my best friends from Elementary school is very creative and growing up we loved putting together outfits, scoping out locations and taking fun photos using any props we can find. Mirrors, lights, confetti were used, and we even once pretended a garden hose was a fashionable belt! Sometimes we have a basic idea or outfit planned but we usually just go with the flow and bounce off each other's ideas at the moment. In the end, the result is always different, but usually better than what we had initially planned!

Most interesting story revolving around your creative medium?
Around the holidays last year, I met with a photographer for a shoot at Candy Cane Lane in Torrance. During this time, certain parts of the neighborhood are decorated lavishly with lights and other props. Excited to shoot at such a unique location, we forgot to note where we parked. After shooting up and down the blocks for about an hour we called it a wrap. We thought we knew the direction back to the car but we became so caught up in the moment that we forgot our way back. We went in circles for over an hour before we found our car. This experience was personal for me because even though the day didn’t go completely to plan, I still enjoyed myself. With modeling, I feel like I’m exactly where I’m supposed to be.

Random stuff about you?
Obsessed with pilates. Dog mom to a spunky toy poodle mix. Favorite color is the Crayola color cerulean. I love being in nature and hope to have a garden and an organic fruit farm one day.
