How did you get into modeling?

I’ve been so infatuated with modeling since I was young, always watching ANTM and pretending my hallway was a runway. Once I grew older and realized I wasn’t getting much taller I gave up on the modeling dream. But then I had collaborated with a photographer kind of out of no where (aka Daniel Woods) and that photoshoot was the start of my career! I felt so comfortable and confident like I was born to do this. I fell in love with the art and wanted to take it further! I’m so glad I did!

How did you find out about Tgs?

I found out at one of my first Meetups in DTLA that was hosted through a couple of TGS members and I believe almost everyone there was a Tgs member so they all told me to apply and after getting some portfolio pictures together I applied ASAP!

Why’d you join?

After looking into it and what it was about I was really excited about everything Alex was doing with the collective. I knew it was more than just a group of artists. It was more than the art itself. I especially loved that there was no height or weight requirements because body positivity is something I stand for and appreciate that she sees it’s not all about being the standard size but about the talent and passion!

Where do you get your inspiration from?

I get my inspiration from people in the collective that I see have more experience than me and I aspire to be like or just have a style that I love! Also Pinterest is a must have for sure ! But for more of a personal inspiration, I love to read inspiring quotes and stories or even just taking a little time to myself every week to remind myself of my why. Self love and care is super important!

Favorite 'asthetic', theme, or look when shooting?

I definitely lean towards a moody theme when I shoot but I love exploring all kind of aesthetics depending on the season. I always strive for my work to tell a story so when people see it they feel something.

Do you have other creative friends you like to meet up with / brainstorm with?

I love brainstorming and working with so many people especially Alex herself ! She is an amazing help and so wise in every aspect of modeling or career stuff in general. I also love working with Kelsey ever since we met we’ve been the best of friends ! She’s helped me a lot with modeling and styling. We’ve done quite a few shoots together whether she was the model, stylist , or the one behind the camera.

Do you have any interesting stories revolving around modeling?

Before I actually was involved with TGS and became serious about modeling, I actually was going through a rough season in my life with family and personal issues that lead me to a really bad depression. I was in a place I felt I couldn’t get out of like I was trapped in my body and couldn’t do anything about it. I learned to cope and get better naturally. But without modeling, I don’t know what kind of mental state I would be in. It’s given me such a passion and purpose to keep moving forward.
