CONTINUE SCROLLING TO LEARN A LITTLE ABOUT HER!
Tell us about yourself!
My name is Ashley and I’m a model, writer, and creative content producer! I got started in entertainment at a very young age, performing for stage and film as a child. I’ve always been a creative and enjoy all forms of art - I currently work full time in radio and TV while balancing my part time modeling and fashion career.
What inspired you to pursue your current creative path?
So much inspires me and I try my best to follow those things every moment of the day! I’m an actress, model, writer, and creator - I’m moved by telling a compelling story. That’s what life as a creative, and as a human being, really boils down to - what story do we as people have to contribute to the world? I’m moved and inspired by the stories I see around me that need to be told, whether that’s through a lens, a pen, an amazing piece of clothing, or a performance.
How did you find out about TGS?
Instagram! I’ve loved TGS’ content for a long time and also follow Archive the Mag. When I started talking to Alicia and Larissa after I submitted my application I knew it was a perfect fit.
Why did you decide to join TGS?
For me it all comes back to telling that perfect story. Our art is an extension of our soul - and TGS is a group of amazing story tellers coming together to paint a picture wit different artistic mediums. I decided to join TGS to network with my fellow artists and listen to their stories.
Where do you draw your inspiration from?
I draw my inspiration from nature and fantasy. My style is very dramatic, over the top and ethereal - I love a good fair headpiece. I also love high fashion and editorial content from the greats like Peter Lindbergh and Erik Maddigan Heck - and of course Coco Rocha’s genius posing!
Fave aesthetic, look or theme when shooting?
Oh that has to be high fashion and Avant garde. I love anything weird, beautiful, and just “out there” in general. My creative partner Moon Fire Photo and I tend to go all out when we shoot our concepts and the styling can get intense!
Do you have creative friends you like to meetup and brainstorm with?
Moon Fire Photo is my creative wifey. She’s an amazing creative and friend - and her work truly speaks for itself. We have a stack of international publications on our desk at the moment that we’ve been featured in and we’re only growing from there - I can’t wait to see what 2020 holds for us!
Most interesting story revolving around your creative medium?
Well, just to show you how hard we go, Moon Fire and I did an impromptu Halloween shoot last week where I levitated in the air. I was a haunted doll possessed by demons (Lol), and I had to balance on top of a huge ladder with my nose practically touching the ceiling! Just a normal Tuesday night for Shia Labeouf (if you got that reference we can be best friends).
Random stuff about you?
Oh yes! I’m very random. I’m extremely OCD (like medically) and tend to get focused on projects very intensely. I also speak French and do stand up comedy. Oh and I have diseases that I talk about frequently in my creative blogging and self love articles. I’m a big self-love and health advocate and really want my art to help spread a positive message.
