Tell me about yourself?

“I was born in Pakistan and came to the US when I was 1o months so I’ve been raised here pretty much my whole life.
I went to UCI and graduated with a degree in Psychology and Social Behavior. Two years ago, I got my yoga certificate so I teach yoga part-time during the week! You can probably tell I love to stay busy 😋
My birthday is October 21 so I’m a Libra.
- My first language is Urdu.
- I love reggaeton! I have a really awesome playlist on Spotify.
- When I was traveling in Morocco I was almost kidnapped. It’s a long story so feel free to ask me about it, haha.
- One time when I was studying at UCI for my finals, I got locked in at the library. I was in the basement floor studying when all the lights turned off around 12:15am. I thought the power went out, so I went upstairs to the main floor and saw that everyone was gone. I freaked out and tried escaping through the main doors, but they were locked. I ran around trying to find which door was unlocked, but none were. I used my phone to check what time the library closed and it closed at 12am! I realized I must have missed the closing announcement because I had my earphones in the basement. My heart was rapidly beating and my thoughts were racing on how I was going to spend the night in the library. Thankfully, I had my water bottle and leftover pizza with me. After contemplating how scary it would be to spend the night there, I called the campus police and was rescued!”

How did you get into modeling?

“I started two years ago and at that time, I was only modeling yoga poses for my yoga website. Somehow it evolved into lifestyle and that’s what I do now. I mostly do this as a hobby right now and it’s a lot of fun. I’d like for it to turn into something more serious, so I’ll start going to auditions soon. ”

How did you find out about Tgs?

“I found out about TGS through another photographer. I joined TGS because I wanted to be a part of the bigger community of creatives and collaborate with like-minded people. I’ve met so many amazing artists by joining TGS and I love that TGS is accepting of all people. I’ve also had the great opportunity to work with Alex on a professional level through being an Intern!”

Where do you get your inspiration from?

“I’m inspired by the outdoors! I love road trips and traveling because it removes me from the mundane affairs of the everyday life and gives me the ability to absorb new culture. I always feel like a new person when I get back from a trip. ”

Favorite 'aesthetic', theme, or look when shooting?

“I would say I’m definitely a more “moody” model. I love expressing my emotions and sharing how I feel through my photos. I’m a storyteller so most of my captions tell a story. I like to connect with my audience on a deeper level. However, my favorite aesthetics are the “folk” or outdoorsy type of shoots. ”

Do you have other creative friends you like to meet up with / brainstorm with?

“I have a pretty good group going of creatives made up of a few photographers and models. We go on road trips every month. It’s much more than that now though. We’ve all become really good friends and we spend time together outside of photography. I think it’s important to surround yourself with people who inspire you and people that you can really vibe with.”

Most interesting story revolving around modeling?

“My most interesting and memorable story was when I was modeling at the Teotihuacan Pyraminds in Mexico. My friend and I had to wait in a really long line we had to climb over 240 steps to get to the top and once we started shooting, the weather turned on us. It got really windy and a random thunderstorm came out of nowhere and it was pouring like crazy. We thought we could use the wind to our advantage for a bit, but then it got really wild and we have to leave. Despite the bad weather, the views from the pyramid were amazing! ”
